Review: Ilya Health Bar, South Melbourne

I remember when finding something healthy on the go meant you had to choke down a crappy Maccas salad or just pretend you weren’t hungry. But now, you can’t drive through a bigger Melbourne suburb and not be flooded with a choice of health-conscious cafes and restaurants. Now this is a trend I can rally around.

The Hunt For My New Local, Phase 1: The Imperial, South Yarra

Since I moved from Bayside to Toorak I’ve been on the hunt for my new local, and given the huge number of venue in the area, you think I’d be spoilt for choice. The issue is that I’m picky. Like… Super picky.

Why Your New Signature Drink Should Be BEE Mead

One fateful day I was in Dan Murphy’s buying drinks for a beach party we were heading down to and it struck me; I didn’t want to drink beer, wine or cider. Review: Green Cup, South Yarra

All I needed now was a random dog to say hi to and a bubble tea…

Review: Monk Bodhi Dharma, Balaclava

I’d like to preface this review by stating that I am an avid meat-eater, a passionate foodie and am reluctantly gluten-free, so for a vegetarian/vegan/GF place to impress me, it must be really bloody good. A GF friend of mine suggested we try Monk Bodhi Dharma and see what all the fuss was about. We opted for a later brunch, and I headed out to meet her at 11am on a Saturday. They’re at the rear 202 Carlisle St, Balaclava, under 15 minutes from Melbourne city in the trendy St Kilda/Balaclava area.
