Kathrin Romary Beckinsale (not Beckinsdale, like I always assumed!) was born on 26 July 1973 in Chiswick, England to acting duo Judy Loe & Richard Beckinsale. She made her first television appearance at the age of four, in an episode of This is Your Life dedicated to her father.
I come from a Ukrainian and Scottish background, both known for a love of potatoes & booze, but unfortunately not so much for their awesome war rituals. I’m really not sure what it is exactly that gets me so emotional when I see the haka performed; it could be the raw power and strength mixed right n with the vulnerability and emotion. Whatever it is, I tear up like a baby when ever I see it. So when I saw this haka performed at Benjamin and Aaliyah Armstrong’s wedding, I was a complete blithering mess. There’s something about a man who manages to be dashing & daring yet feminine & intelligent, all at the same time. Eddie Redmayne is one of the rare men who embody these stunning qualities. Born on 6 January 1982 in Westminster, London to Mum Patricia née Burke (owner of a business specialising in relocation services) and Dad Richard Redmayne (a business person in corporate finance), Eddie had a privileged start to life that saw him attend Colet Court, then Eton College, where he was in the same year as Prince William.
Liam and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on Tuesday, so that was a pretty amazing start to the week! I’m so incredibly lucky to be able to count someone as amazing as him as my best friend and partner in crime, and the last 2 years has absolutely flown by. We are polar opposites in pretty much every aspect of our lives and personalities, but the things that count match up; our humour, morals and family values all align, and that’s a few of the most important things to me.
This weeks find is 2 gorgeous full-length dresses, priced at a basement bargain of $15 from Hampton Salvos Op Shop. The first is from seed femme, and with its’ deep navy voluminous wavy lengths and roped waist detail, I get a distinctly nautical vibe from it. Perfect for those slightly cooler summer evenings, or for when I’ve been too lazy to shave my legs but have to go out in public.
