Howdy guys & gals! A friend asked me what the deal was with Snapchat ‘Snapcodes’ the other day, so I thought I’d do a little write-up on how to add contacts to Snapchat by both Snapcode and Username.
How to add someone by their Snapcode:
It’s best to do this on a mobile, so if you’re reading this on your laptop or PC, switch over to your mobile now.
Take a screenshot of the Snapchat picture of the person you want to add. It’ll have to be the one with the Snapchat ghost, yellow background and black dots, like mine below:
Once you’ve done that, open up Snapchat, and tap on the little ghost in the top middle of the screen
Once you have that screenshot, tap on ‘Add Friends’
Then “Add by Snapcode”
From there, you’ll just need to select the screenshot from your gallery preview. It’ll automatically scan it for a Snapcode, and add that person!
How to add someone by their Snapchat username:
Open up Snapchat, and tap on the little ghost in the top middle of the screen
Then tap on ‘Add Friends’
Then tap on “Add by Username”
From there you’ll just have to type in the user name, and tap add. Simples!
